About Me

Hi! My name is Grace aka gracekelle. Years ago as an intern at a major record label, one of my supervisors announced “Grace Kelly” every time I walked in the door and it was the one nickname that I didn’t mind so it stuck. That Grace Kelly is one classy lady, but I’m a little bit sassy!

I started Lean Girls Club in 2010 as an outlet for me to connect with other healthy, fit and lean women. I’ve been on a wellness journey since 2005, having lost 70 pounds with the support of great family, friends, and health professionals. If you are someone who constantly strives to live a healthy lifestyle, then you are a Lean Girl!

A little bit about me:

I’m a New Yorker, but not originally from here.

I work in the record business, but am no Diddy.

I run marathons, but don’t consider myself marathoner.

I love food, but am not a foodie. I love trying new recipes, but hate cooking.

I co-head an events company, Tailor & Kelle. We do weddings but also believe every day is an event and should be treated like one.

In my head, I’m a big deal and also not a big deal.

I like fancy things, while trying not to be materialistic.

I try to follow Jesus’s example. I wish to give something great unto this world and hope this blog motivates you to do something with your life and health.

  1. Grace, this was the tip on my bag of Yogi tea this morning (they all have little “fortunes” on them), and it made me think of you:

“Whether you give or share, are kind or not, never let your grace fall.”

  2. Grace —

Love the blog. Don’t follow it as closely as I should so I may have just missed this request I’m about to make. Any advice for us girls living the professional life during the day and a student one during the night? My days are pretty sedentary (behind a desk at work and hitting the books at night) but i’m almost always hungry! Or I think I am. It’s very easy for me to eat junk when my life doesn’t allow time to cook/prepare meals or when I’m up late at night. How does one keep the energy going and not feel like she’s missing out on deliciousness?

(P.S. do you have a general comment space or is this it?)

  3. Hi! I’m Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a diet/fitness app and website. I saw your blog yesterday and it captured my interest!

I’m contacting you b/c we’re about to release a fitness tracker (similar to FitBit) early next year, and are looking for bloggers who would be interested in receiving 1 for free to review when it is out (negative or positive).

Would you be interested in doing this? You can email me at: sue (at) slimkicker (com) with ‘Review’ in the email heading if you are.

Just to let you know, our website SlimKicker basically turns your diet/fitness goals into a level-up RPG game. The tracker will work in conjunction the website, and allow people to track calories burned and number of steps they walk automatically. The more they exercise, the more points they rack up! That’s basically how it will work.

Anyway, hope to hear back either way…

    – Sue
